~slow days~ As days drew by, I realized that it was time for me to gather all my clothes and other necessary things to be stuffed into a luggage. Despite the hustle in packing, I had one part of my brain that was not concentrating at all. It was in fact wandering into another dimension when I questioned myself about this trip that was laid before me. After several questions, I came to a conclusion that I daresay this holiday trip is going to be rather mild. Looking back at those few weeks of torture with assignments, presentations and preparation for exams, I remembered longing for an enjoyable holiday and actually I was in a position of attaining one. Singapore! I was so delighted and eventually became topsy turvy at the very mention of it. After my finals, I immediately messaged my cousin in hope of getting her condominium for shelter when we are there. Thinking that everything was going to be alright, a message was received later in the night saying that she was going for a holiday herself and will not be able to receive us into her humble abode. Well, my dad then, had a back up plan: - Phuket! To me, I was like “That’s new!” and just when I have gotten myself all cheery again, the price for three days and two nights on that island, shot up from 400 something to 1000 something. Consequently, we bid farewell to Phuket and decided upon Penang as I haven’t been there since I had dengue and the rest was history. We called up several hotels and found out that they were all fully booked. Very well then, we ended up in Taiping where we accompanied my aunt.
These were the things that happened when I was there:
1) Washed my hair with shower gel
2) Watched Astro
3) Read a comic book
4) Walked around a small shopping center (smaller than the Giant that I always go every week without fail)
5) Ate good dinner
~That was day 1
6) Woke up at 8am (first time in history during the holidays…only this year)
7) Drank tea with cow’s milk (a tip for those who wish to torture me in the near future: - force me to drink tea with milk…oh gawd..I HATE TEA WITH MILK!!!)
8) Watched Astro
9) Walked a few kilometers along the lake and this dialogue took place:-
Mum: Eh, look~! They are catching fish at the lake.
Dad and me: Where?
Mum: There~~ (without pointing)
Me: Where?
*silence* I looked around and very soon found out what she saw.
Me: That is rubbish la…it is just an empty plastic water bottle!
10) Visited some orchid display market (and they had this plant – the fly chewer plant with teeth aka claws or thorns…whatever…at the brim of its leaves and next to it was the monkey cup and they can move…darn..i should have taken a picture…a picture paints a thousand words..)
11) Bought a bag and a wall clock
12) Read a book
~That was the end of day 2
13) A day trip to Lumut (there was this restaurant which had a swarm of flies
and a flattened dead rat in the toilet)
14) Thinking of my piano
15) Watched Astro
16) Read a book
17) Messaged Kar Wei
~Day 3 over
18) HOME SWEET HOME~~!!!
I was city life deprived and I really wonder how the society there are able to dwell in there without ever feeling bored. 4 days there seemed like 4 years and time passed so slowly that it made me think of funny stuff…like wills. Dunno why but wills reminds me of Celine as it made me recall the will she made when we were in form 2. Hmmm…
